How does Invisalign work?
To begin Invisalign treatment, we take photographs and make impressions of your teeth and send them to the Invisalign lab. The lab will then convert the impressions to a 3D model of your teeth. With the 3D model, we can create a simulation of the treatment that will allow us to visualize the final position of the teeth after treatment. We will go over the treatment plan with you and have the ability to customize it based on your input. Once we are happy with the treatment plan, we will submit the approval and the Invisalign lab will begin creating your customized sequence of clear aligner trays. Each set of trays are worn for 1 week, and then you switch to the next set. Every set of trays have small changes to them that work to move and reposition the teeth to their desired place. The majority of Invisalign treatments are completed in 6 months to 1 year. We offer free Invisalign consultations for anyone interested in straight teeth without braces!
