Tooth decay on front teeth can be a troubling and unsightly problem for many patients. In many cases, we can repair the tooth decay and return teeth back to their natural appearance by bonding tooth colored filling material to repair the damage from cavities. This patient was very concerned about the discoloration of her teeth along the gumline. We were able to fix the decay and greatly improve the appearance of the teeth in one visit using dental bonding procedures.
After many years of use, dentures can become worn and discolored. In this case, the patient had severely worn dentures that give the appearance of premature aging. By fabricating a new set of full dentures in Aston, we were able to give the patient a nice full smile and melt away years of perceived aging.
After a fall injury, this patient was left with badly discolored front teeth. The trauma from the fall caused internal bleeding inside the teeth which led to the dark purple color. We removed the damaged nerve tissue and then were able to use an internal bleaching technique that slowly whitens the teeth from the inside. She was thrilled to have white teeth again.
This young lady wanted to improve the overall appearance of her smile. There was some spacing present and some mismatching in the sizes and shape of the teeth. We replaced some of the existing porcelain fused to metal crowns with new ceramic dental crowns, reshaped some teeth with bonding and enamel reshaping, and performed a gum procedure to level out the uneven gumline. We were able to restore the symmetry and beauty of this young woman’s smile.
Wanting to look her best for her wedding day, this young lady was interested in Invisalign to correct the positioning of her teeth. She was concerned about how prominent her front teeth were and about the crowding of the lower teeth. With the use of clear Invisalign aligners, we were able to reposition and straighten her teeth in time for the big day.
One of the ways that we can close a gap in teeth is by bonding composite resin to reshape teeth. This patient was unhappy with gap between her front teeth. We were able to close down the gap and reshape the teeth in about 40 minutes painlessly and with no anesthetics.
Restored form and function with ceramic dental crowns after an injury as a kid damaged the two front teeth. The resin bonding/fillings that were originally placed had begun to break down and discolor. It was time for something stronger and more esthetic to match this beautiful smile!
In some cases, teeth that cannot be fixed need to be removed in order to make way for new teeth. This patient had been embarrassed for many years over the appearance of her smile. She recalled many stories of hiding her smile in social settings over the years. The failing teeth were removed and were replaced with a ceramic dental bridge in Aston, PA. We were able to correct the alignment and spacing issues that had long been a concern of the patient. At a check up visit after the dental bridge was placed, she was beaming to report ...
This patient was suffering from cavities that were becoming visible on his front teeth. We removed the decay and rebuilt the teeth using tooth colored filling materials. This transformation was completed in just one visit!
This old silver filling had been in place for many years and was beginning to show signs of failure. The gray discolorization around the filling is a sign of a leaking and failing filling. As a filling begins to break down, moisture begins to be let in around the filling. As moisture and bacteria begin to invade the tooth around the filling, tooth decay soon follows. This filling was removed and replaced with tooth colored resin filling material. One of the main advantages of tooth colored filling material is the superior esthetics. We can eliminate the dark colors of ...
Even large spaces can sometimes be eliminated with Invisalign in Aston, PA. Through a series of virtually invisible clear tray aligners, we were able to close down the large spaces and dramatically improve the alignment of the teeth. This patient was thrilled to show off her new smile and did not have to suffer through years of metal brackets and wires.
In this case, the patient had two porcelain fused to metal crowns that had been in place for close to 30 years. One of the drawbacks to porcelain fused to metal crowns is that sometimes the metal substructure of the crowns can show through, especially at the margins. Newer materials have been developed to address this problem. Pressed ceramics and zirconia dental crowns offer superior esthetics because there is no metal in them and will not show a gray line at the margins. The old porcelain fused to metal crowns in this case were replaced with zirconia crowns to ...
In some cases, severely broken down and weakened teeth can be restored with crowns and bridges. Crowns allow us to restore and replace large areas of teeth and to protect weakened teeth from further damage. Crowns can also improve overall esthetics by replacing broken down enamel with esthetic ceramic materials. In this case, many of the teeth were badly broken down and required crowns to protect and restore the teeth. One of the teeth in this case had to be removed due to a fractured root and was replaced by a bridge.
One of the many options for replacement of missing teeth is a bridge. A bridge is a dental prosthetic that uses some of the remaining teeth to anchor in the replacement teeth. A bridge is cemented in place and is not removable. Bridges can fill in missing spaces and restore form and function when teeth have been lost.
This failing silver filling was replaced with a tooth colored filling material. The tooth colored filling material allows us to restore teeth to a more natural looking state. With tooth colored resin, fillings can now blend in seamlessly with the other natural teeth.
